Lets have a Winge / The Times They Are A-Changing
« Last post by punkinblue9 on Tue 07 Oct 2025 10:30:23 »
Have you seen postal rates, lately !!!  Doggone those tariffs !!  Shipping from England seems to have tripled.

Seems everyone else is immersed in “digital”.

Noticed a sale surge in video and compact discs, to the point that I feel bombarded.

Now, they (Warner Archives) are releasing four films on one, when people such as myself, already have the four.

It’s also easier to order a book as an e-book, as expressed before.

Guess I'm a little behind in this digital age.

The Yardbirds are on of my favourite bands. Lead guitarists Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page get most of the attention but Chris Dreja was a pivotal part of their sound. First on rhythm guitar and then moving to bass and forming a great rhythm section with drummer Jim McCarty when Paul Samwell-Smith left the group in 1966.

My favourite of hers was Hetty Wainthropp Investigated, which featured future Lord of The Rings star Domenic Monaghan. She was also an accomplished singer. RIP

I did enjoy ''Keeping Up Appearances'' RIP Dame Patricia.  :(

Was surprised to know she had been in many musicals.

Not someone I'm familiar with but upon having read your links another one of those usually only known of by fans. Not having been into the genre of the bands you mention in my youth I'm usually none the miser he was obviously a giant among his peers RIP Danny Thompson.

That he was, both in the fields folk and jazz, but he played with an incredibly diverse group of artists. Without knowing it, you will probably find that you have quite a few of the albums he played on.
