Title: Contributing Music
Post by: Voulamay on Thu 12 Jun 2008 20:32:29
Hi,  I am new to this great site  :),  I would like to contribute some music I have but am having no luck "uploading" using rapidshare or megaupload.  Do I have to be a financial member to upload on these sites ??

I live in Petersham Sydney,  is there any member in the inner west who could help upload some music for me ?

Thanks
Voulamay

Can you give us some idea of the problems you are having uploading?

Most people here will help if we know what's going wrong for you.  :D

Thanks Beergut,  I click on browse on the Megaupload page then click on the file from my "my music" page and it won't upload.

ummm..... are you trying to upload a folder from "my music"? or is the file  a .rar or .zip file

Yeah Voulamay, as Skids is suggesting, you need to 'zip' up the selected mp3s into a .rar or .zip file first, and then upload that zipped folder - unless there's some other problem??

Ok,  was trying to upload a file (folder).

I will play around with the "zip" or "rar" form and see how I go.

Thanks

Hey thanks for this thread. I have a reasonable collection of CD's that I'm staring to upload to Rapidshare, and was wondering which section of this forum should I post links for these files.

Upload via a website like www.asapload.com

You upload the file once and select up to 4 mirrors you want to mirror the file to. asapload (or whatever you prefer to use) will upload it to all 4 sites for you, saving you a lot of bandwidth and time.

You don't need to sign up, create accounts or do anything fancy.

once uploaded you will get the chance to create a collectors account, why do you want a collectors account you earn points for each download, these points can be used to buy a premium account.

How have people found this?  Using the rewards points to get a premium account?  So in theory you can get a premium account without forking out cashola?
