Man I cannot the believe all the incidentals we have had to shell out for after finally getting into our own house. I wish that when you buy a house and moving day comes someone just turns up and shifts your stuff and you don't have to do a thing. Just sit down at the new house and open a coldie.......
connect utilities
pay the council for rubbish bins
put up curtains
number the house
add a letter box
put shelving in the wardrobes
get the phone connected
get the internet back on - off line for two weeks cause they stuffed my order up
and the on top of it all killed the pc and had to spend three days installing software on a new box.
Spent my two week break working harder than I ever do at work...
Actually have gone back to work for a rest....
there is never enough hours in the day as it is with (now) two kids let alone a move and a new pc......

Yes i know what you mean, we will be faced with moving house soon, not looking forward to it at all.... :-\

I am sure the move contributed to my PCs untimely death as well

Moving soon as well - one of the most stressful (and expensive) things you can ever do - at least I'll get off this danged satellite internet connection

It was the other way around for me, I moved from a house with a sweet ADSL2 connection to a place that can only get 28.8k dial up or wireless :(

Go to my telco's website and they advertise ADSL2 for my area (we've been in over 12 months now). Call them up and they say 'oh sorry that 's not right. Telstra haven't laid the lines and we don't know when they're likely too'.... Stuck with top speed ADSL but I/m lucky to get on thanks to my wife's Facebook and Ebay sessions.......
