I was so sorry to hear the news of Gerry Conway's passing.

Gerry has a major presence in my music collection, recording with many of my favourite bands and artists including Fairport Convention, Fotheringay, Pentangle, Jethro Tull, Sandy Denny, Richard Thompson, Iain Matthews, Cat Stevens, Kate & Anna McGarrigle... the list goes on and on.

Obituaries and Eulogies / Re: R.I.P. Steve Harley @73

I had a similar affiliation with Steve Harley back in the 70's but with his 'Best Years Of Our Lives' LP, as the whole album was so different to the current music at that time.

His singing style and lyrics were unlike anything else I had heard before. Of course his hit single "Come Up And Make Me Smile" was just icing on the cake

A sad, sad day indeed.  :vsad:

The only record my wife and I both had when we became a couple was his Timeless Flight, and both of us agreed the song Nothing's Sacred was something really special. We are both feeling a little distraught today...
