Hey everyone
I'm hoping somebody can identify this rock song. Tried shazam and soundhound with no results

I tried searching for some of the lyrics, but no success there either.
Judging by the waveform, I'd say it was recorded and released before 1999 (the year the loudness war (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loudness_war) began).
I could post it on YouTube and ask for people's help there. Just let me know.

Sure, port on youtube if you want
Somebody told me the name of the song might be called 'Resolution' but not a fact just an old memory from the radio

I'm probably wrong, but it sounds a little like something BLUR may have released - but not as wild as their hit "Song2" !

I've uploaded it to YouTube:

Yeah i think you are wrong :wtf: but thanks for trying

I'd say it's almost certainly American – and Emo.

I've posted the song on Discogs (https://www.discogs.com/forum/thread/825971) in the hope that someone there can identify it.

How/where/when did you first hear it?

How/where/when did you first hear it?
Not exactly sure. Maybe 2010 or earlier. It was on Triple J Radio Australia driving home from work one morning. Couldn't catch the name because of loud traffic. I went looking on their website and found the mp3 there but it also had no name. I never bothered trying to contact them, thinking that i might hear it again and i never bothered ever since. It's been sitting on a drive ever since with no name. Now since this plandemic crap i decided to use the time to build a new music collection and try to track down the name

At about that time at least two groups had non-alpha numeric names. One was ▲ı▼ı▲ and the other I know of I††. Their songs were often also represented by symbols. Though neither released your posted song (as far as I know), it might explain the lack of a title if there were other bands similarly named. Perhaps?
I hope someone can find the title soon.

@Ratso
Interesting. I found the first one at https://eschaton23.bandcamp.com/ but does not appear to be the one i don't think
The second one not so easy to find. Is that an I or an L before the crosses ?
-
Neither are the one. Just a curiosity.
Your guess is as good as mine re I or l. Sorry.
