Sad news. My all time favourite from the 60s. His discography, both with the Pacemakers and solo, has been covered in detail on this forum and is a fitting legacy to the man.

Very sad news.

"Gerry And The Pacemakers Greatest Hits" was one of the very first albums I ever bought... that was 1967 and I was just 15. I absolutely loved his voice and all band's music then and I still do today. I was lucky enough to see them live once in the late 70's. The hits had dried up by then but the talent certainly had not.

Saw him a few times - always gave an 'all the hits" performance. Had some medical issues over the last few years - had stopped touring.
