Sounds like this was a performance as part of a Queensland Rock award show - that's probably why you taped it. From the intro it would seem this band was a finalist. Did they win? Probably not, as there seems scant info on the band subsequently.

Don't know what became of the band, or the band-members, afterwards.
 
I'm curious as to who the band-members are. Like some others, I was originally thinking the likes of Mark Callahan when I first listened to this.

... which seems to originate from Brisbane. An original band member perhaps? Not much info there though.

Anybody heard of the band??
