At 81 years young! great music and banter plus his guitar playing surprised me  ( in the positive ) He's still got it!

Don McLean?
My sister saw him in G-Town the other night, and asked if i wanted to go as well but I couldn't make it.
She said it was amazing when everyone stood up and sung the entire American Pie with him !!
Eat your peas !! :)

I also saw Don McLean at the Coliseum (attached to Rooty Hill RSL) last week - again a partial standup from the audience for Pie. Unfortunately it was performed with full backing band, which tends to maak the limitations of mature performers - but good on the performers for still being motivated (excluding any $$ factor).

The chocolate goes to RAM

the indelible MIKE RUDD (Chants, Spectrum,Indelible Murtceps,Ariel etc etc)
I mentioned his guitar playing but his harmonica was even better.
Would have loved a copy of 1/2 hour slideshow. Amazing photos from over the years, especially a lengthy composite of Bill Putt.

In the hint was a photo and on the right handside  the slide show photo displays a young Mike Rudd

BTW Don McLean was in Wollongong last week for two shows and at 81 was also very good
And I agree, I enjoyed his acoustic performances more than the those with the band
