Time was one of his few Australian lower level Top 40 hits. Most of his UK chart hits were covers of U.S. artists., sung in a smooth crooning style. His first cover version of Gene McDaniel's "A hundred Pounds Of Clay" was banned from airplay by BBC because of suggestive lyrics, a a result a second 'cleaner' version was recorded. Appeared in a couple of pop-music themed movies - check out YouTube and "Rainbows" - was also a 45rpm B side - and has always been one of my favourite songs!!
