Hi guys,
I'm hearing in close, well-informed music circles this afternoon that Marty Rhone (aka Martin Gamwell) has passed away.
I know that he was unwell after major heart surgery a month ago, but this is very sad news to hear.
There's no official news (although I have sighted a flyer for a memorial gathering at Skyways Hotel, Airport West, VIC for Sunday 22nd March) so hopefully it is just some false 'Chinese whispers' that have been reported prematurely.
